Brow Lift

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that smooths and lifts the area between the eyebrows and hairline. By repositioning the skin and underlying tissues, it refreshes the appearance of the forehead, brow, and the area around the eyes, creating a more youthful and rested look.

What is Brow lift Surgery?

A brow lift is a surgical procedure that lifts and reshapes the eyebrows to rejuvenate the forehead and upper eye area, creating a more youthful and refreshed appearance.

Techniques include the Gliding Brow Lift, which repositions tissue layers through small hairline incisions for a natural lift with minimal scarring and recovery; the Lateral Brow Lift or Temple Lift, which elevates the outer brows and smooths crow’s feet via hidden temple incisions; and the Direct Brow Lift, which removes a small amount of skin above the brows for precise correction of drooping or asymmetry, though it may leave visible scars.

What Happens During Brow Lift Surgery?

A brow lift repositions the forehead and eyebrows to create a more youthful look. It’s usually done through hairline or small keyhole incisions under general anaesthetic, sometimes requiring a short hospital stay. After surgery, bandages and small drains may be used, with bruising, swelling, and sensitivity common. Pain relief is provided, and patients should avoid bending or straining for the first few days.

What are the Benefits of a Brow Lift?

A brow lift offers both aesthetic and confidence-boosting benefits, helping to refresh the upper face and enhance overall appearance. Key benefits include:

Look more youthful: Lifts sagging brows and smooths the forehead for a rejuvenated appearance.

Correct asymmetry: Balances the position of the eyebrows for improved facial harmony.

Boost self-confidence: Enhances overall satisfaction with your appearance.

Improve alertness: Creates a more awake and refreshed look around the eyes.

Long-lasting results: Provides durable improvements to the forehead and brow area.

Understanding these benefits alongside the possible risks helps ensure that you make an informed decision about whether a brow lift aligns with your aesthetic goals.

Who is Suitable for a Lip lift?

A lip lift may be a suitable option for individuals who want to improve the shape and balance of their lips and enhance the overall harmony of their facial features. It is particularly beneficial for those who feel their upper lip appears too long or flat, making their smile less pronounced or their facial profile less youthful.

A lip lift can help address:

A long distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip

A flat or thin upper lip that lacks definition

A smile that shows little or no upper teeth

A desire for a more youthful and balanced facial appearance

A lip lift is focused on improving lip shape and proportion and is not primarily intended to address deep lines around the mouth, skin texture, or overall facial sagging, issues that may be better treated with other surgical or non‑surgical procedures. A consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon can determine whether a lip lift is right for your goals and facial anatomy.

Brow lift Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about brow lift surgery

What is a brow lift?

A brow lift, also called a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that elevates and reshapes the eyebrows and forehead, smoothing wrinkles and sagging to create a more youthful and refreshed appearance.

Who is a good candidate for a brow lift?

A brow lift is suitable for individuals with sagging or drooping eyebrows, deep forehead lines, or asymmetry in the brow area. It is ideal for those seeking a more youthful, alert appearance without affecting the rest of the face.

What are the types of brow lift surgery?

Common techniques include the Gliding Brow Lift, which repositions tissue through small hairline incisions; the Lateral or Temple Lift, targeting the outer brow; and the Direct Brow Lift, which removes skin above the brow for precise correction.

How long does a brow lift take?

Brow lift surgery usually takes 1–3 hours depending on the technique used and whether it is combined with other procedures. It is typically performed under general anaesthetic or local anaesthetic with sedation.

What is the recovery time after a brow lift?

Most patients experience swelling and bruising for 1–2 weeks. Full recovery and final results can take up to 3 months, while normal daily activities can often be resumed within 1–2 weeks.

Will a brow lift leave scars?

Incisions are usually hidden in the hairline or temples, making scars minimally visible. With proper post-operative care, scars typically fade over time and blend with natural hair and skin lines.

What are the benefits of a brow lift?

A brow lift can make you look younger and more refreshed, correct asymmetry, improve the appearance of sagging brows, enhance your overall facial balance, and boost self-confidence.

Are the results of a brow lift permanent?

Yes, a brow lift provides long-lasting results by repositioning tissue and lifting sagging skin. However, natural ageing will continue, so the procedure does not stop future changes in the forehead or brow area.

"

I was very concerned about my breast implant removal and the shape I would be left with. I opted for a removal and an uplift. I love the look of my breasts after the operation. They have a great shape and I feel so confident about my new look. I was also concerned about the scarring but that seems to be fading relatively quickly. An amazing surgeon he put me at ease throughout and I wish I had done this sooner. If I were to have further surgery I would go back to Andrej.

"

I am incredibly pleased with the outstanding care and expertise Maria Chasapi has brought to my surgery. From the initial consultation to the final follow-up, her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were second to none. She took the time to understand my goals, explained every step with clarity, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the process. The results have exceeded my expectations—not just aesthetically, but in how confident and comfortable I now feel.

"

Mr Salibi listened to my concerns, he explained the procedure in great detail and answered my list of questions. His persona, his calmess, his reassurance left me feeling at ease and I was so eager to have my tummy tuck after years of hiding my body under smocks and over shirts. I am now six weeks post op and cannot stop smiling... My scar is so neat, so perfect and is healing exceptionally well. My body confidence has returned and I cannot thank My Salibi enough for working his magic.
